Our Story
Ahh Tinder… They should probably write a case study on us.
After a month or so of talking and getting to know each other on the app that normally destines couples to failed first dates and ghosting, Andrew finally worked up the courage to ask Kaitlyn on a date to his favorite bar in Austin. This date clearly went well because they decided to get together again. After a few dates, Kaitlyn found out she was accepted for a 6 month career experience in Cupertino.
They didn't know a lot about each other and neither was truly sure what it was at first, they decided to give long distance a chance after just 2 months. They both have a love for new adventures (especially anything involving the outdoors,) so what was 6 months apart that was conveniently close to where Andrew had grown up?
From the very beginning, they knew Andrew’s golden retriever energy would match Kaitlyn’s black cat persona well. Trips back and forth from California, exploring the outdoors by camping and backpacking, numerous concerts, date nights exploring Austin’s speakeasy’s (something to note for after the wedding!) and falling in love with each other…’s dogs, finally lead to the two of them moving in together in their new home in south Austin.
On November 28th, during a trip to Switzerland, Andrew proposed and Kaitlyn said yes! Andrew cried his eyes out and frankly doesn’t remember a thing. Building their lives together in Austin and loving their three pups; Atlas, Cooper and Archer, are the most important things in the world to them.
We know it’s a trip to Lake Tahoe for most of you, but we would be honored if each of you could join us on the most important day of our lives! We love all of you, and hope to see you soon!
